Once you are down its about 5 minutes later and customs, MOJ, scout service and a couple of naval officers and marines as well as Captain Benke and Mr Glick arrive. Again, the examine the hold, looking for clues. And then they start unloading. A strange creature shows up with a bunch of other officials and they seem to get into it with Mr. Glick. It’s kind of like a giant tribble with a lot of legs. Think of a huge furry spider.
Eventually, the remaining cargo starts to get unloaded.
Captain Benke comes over to you and the rest of the crew and says, “Well, This isn’t going to be a lot of fun. The missing cargo was FOB Destination. Which means the owner takes possession of it when it reaches the receiving dock of the buyer. In this case, the government of Rendova. Until then, its our responsibility. Insurance will cover the loss but we will need to replace the cargo. Which means, a trip to Ffudn and back. about two and a half weeks. But that’s two and a half weeks we don’t have. We can take the ship to Ffudn, but we will need to charter another ship to bring the cargo back here. We are already sending messages for replacement cargo and chartering information. We will need to leave this system in 48 hours to put us back on any sort of schedule. “
"yow ‘do we know What we will be getting on….Ffuddin was it?" asks Hamilton.

Most of the remaining cargo is good. There are two containers that are being sent up to the Vanday. Two cutters come along and pick them up along with the captain and the crew and a couple of scouts. As you are boarding, a rather portly gentleman comes strolling up. White linen suit, and a big white hat. He seems rather jovial and says to Captain Benke, “I say, are you Captain Benke? I am Sir Frederick Layker. Office of Calendar Compliance, I’m coming with you.”
He is a rather talkative chap.
Meanwhile, the insurance company will look at the salvage and see what can be done for it. Repair or scrap.
Sir Freddy asks Hamilton, “And you Mr. Hamilton, what is your story? Take a fancy to the space life? Seen all the vids and got the wanderlust?”

He comments, part of why he is going with you is, he is to be part of the certification team. To certify the results of the upcoming election as being fair and legitimate. He figures, making sure the machines are not tampered with from the point of origin is a good start.
He is sort of a mixed blessing. Being an official of the OCC, he arranges for priority departure for the ship.

The transit in jump is normal. The captain calls a meeting for some of the crew. You, Anja, Leoso (Mr Evil), Mr Tsu, and Mr Mustafa.
The captain says, “ Well, as some of you may have noticed, Mr Creek is not on board. At the last minute, I had to leave him planet side to deal with the disposition of the Celine Ventoux. As a ranking member of the company, he has authority to take care of this matter. Meanwhile, Anja, its been a long time coming but for now, you are first mate. I’ll be making an general announcement later. The day before we left the planet, I sent a message off to our broker on Fufdn to arrange the charter or renting of a ship. We will probably need to put a crew on it or at least company representatives, and as you all have worked together on the Celine, or on the same shift, I would like you all to be the crew. I should add, a couple of the scouts and Sir Freddy will be going with you. yeah, the OCC can be a pain but they can also be useful.
The plan is, you pick up the cargo and return to Marastan. From there, you head to Squanine-Trin’s Veil. Meanwhile, the Vanday will proceed to Glisten then Bendor and then to Squanine and we will meet up there. That should give you ample time. After that, well, I’m not sure. The Celine had a line that ran from Gulf to Five Sisters. But a lot of that was consignment cargo so we may end up just letting that go for now. I’ve sent a message off to corporate, but I don’t expect a reply until we hit Rhylanor. So, if you don’t know each other by now, start. You’ll be working together for a while.”
Mr Evil says, “Hamster, I understand Anja was running flight simulators with you. Well, I may need a back up or at least a watch stander. Muscles Mustafa is also a pilot but I’d like to get you in there too. You won’t be doing take offs or landing but you should be able to stand a bridge watch on a small ship.”
