When the Galaxina arrives in system, the other ships it is supposed to meet, Vanday and Brookhurst, haven't arrived yet.

There is an orbital facility that the Galaxina is heading for for fuel and cargo and to wait the other ships.

NONSTOP - Empress Marava class far Trader 200 tons  on ground

NAKITA - Trader Class Provincial Merchant 1000 tons docked at high port

HOTGAME - Empress Marava class far harder 200 tons  in route to ground

SPINWARD PRINCESS- Type S Subsidized Merchant 500 tons. On ground

TANGGAMUS - Magnadon class Provincial Merchant 1000 tons leaving high port enroute to jump point. 

DAYDREAMER - Dreamer class Merchant 2000 tons on ground

KALIMANTAN TIMUR - Maru class merchant 500 tons docked at high port

There are also about two dozen small craft moving about the system; including 4 system defense boats at different points in the system. 

The Galaxina has a bit of a trickiness with the space station. The cargo hold will be decompressed and the cargo taken out in space. There will be an umbilical attached to the starboard airlock. All cargo will be off loaded as it is all from Burtson. The company broker has some cargo lined up…

“The cargo is relief supplies and a bunch of guys traveling on an Imperial Military Voucher, and their equipment as well. Two earth movers and a couple of vehicles. My guess is some sort of construction unit. Odd that it isn’t navy. Usually it would be the SeaBees doing this sort of thing. So I am going to guess these guys are army. Though given the situation on their destination, I’m curious why they are going there…”

Hamilton asks,"Are they sending miners to Marrstan already? " 

Oddly, they are traveling on an Imperial travel voucher. So this is army business. 

Doing a transfer in vacuum is interesting as you get briefed. “Step one, once the umbilical is secure, we will cut the gravity in the cargo bay and decompress it. That means all interior hatches on the lower deck will be secured. Step two, open the bay doors. Step three, secure lines from each cargo pod. We’ll release the clamps holding the cargo to the deck and pull each one out. For the loading, its just the reverse. Easy. Everyone put on your vacc suit. Hamster, once everyone checks in, cut the gravity, “ 

Hamster has his vaccsuit on and hears over the comm “This is Olga. I’m at the quarter deck. All hatches secured.” 

“This is Wallace, aft hatches secured

“Standby to depressurize. In three, two, one…” 

Hamilton depressurizes the ship. The warning lights come on, because, you’re in space.  Internal hatches show closed. Olga and Wallace start attaching lines. 

Leoso on the bridge says, “Lighter coming up on port side.” 

PING!! An indicator light shows that the iris valve hatch from the cargo bay to engineering has a slow leak. You’ll need to replace a seal when this is all over. Meanwhile, you should lock the hatch with a locking bar so id doesn’t fail. You’ll need your tool kit…

Hamilton goes over with a took kit and secures the valve with a locking ring for the time being. 

The whole loading process takes one and a half times longer than usual. once the cargo bay doors are closed. Your passengers arrive. They are part of the 5099 quartermaster corp.

“Mr. Creek, the Berkshire has jumped into the system. Probably a couple of hours ago.  I’ve sent them an auto hail with our info.” 

The Berkshire, is the same class as the Vanday. It was refitted a year ago and has more crew quarters and thus, more crew. The plan is to shift people around the three ships so no one ship is vastly under crewed. 

Not long after the Berkshire arrives, the Vanday does likewise. 

There has evidently been some communication going around. At some point, most of the crew of the Galaxina, including you is being called over to the Vanday. They are going to decide who stays on which ship. “Well Hamilton, which ship do you want to stay on?” 

Meanwhile, there has been a complication. Captain D’Oro of the Berkshire died two weeks ago. Sudden heart attack. He was rather portly and did not eat right. In any case, The First Mate, Andrea Zyminsky, has been captain. Though, she is missing a qualification. Mr. Creek, first mate of the Vanday and acting captain of the Galaxina, is qualified so he will probably take command of the Berkshire. 

Mr. Tsu is going back to the Vanday. They are going to bring aboard 2nd assistant engineer Yasmina Tazi. She holds the rank of third officer and is qualified on M drive, power plant and electrician. As well as cargo handling. You would be under her. 

Leoso will stay on the Galaxina as co-pilot at least

Olga will also stay on as sr cargo handler and medic. 

Hamilton elects to go back to the Vanday. Consequently, Anna Dalaks will transfer to the Galaxina instead. 

The Vanday is still two engineers and a couple of cargo handlers short. So Braga Eggers And Even Ritter will transfer over from the Berkshire. 

Evan Ritter Sr Drive Hand  M drive- Jump Drive, Power plant He is from Kinorb; “The one in the Regina subsector. Not the one in Rhylanor.” He speaks some Vargr.  He will be on third shift. 

Braga Eggers Drive Hand Power Plant- M drive She comes from Wardn, near the boarder and speaks Sword Worldish. She will be on first shift with you. 

The cargo handlers are still vacant but a message is being sent on ahead that the Vanday is hiring.
